With my BIC cohort Michael Rozon back from his 8-week US tour with Jerry Cantrell, Beauty In Chaos is again firing on all cylinders! We picked up last night right where we left off prior to his departure… back in our SAINTinLA sonic sanctuary. While he was on tour, I have been working on several solid song ideas, but purposely have not gone into ProTools to hear the track we had been working on. I was cautiously optomistic about hearing this. We had barely beat our deadline to finish the mix of “Kiss Me (Goodbye)” <more on this later>, so we had to put what is currently dubbed ‘idea-2’ on the shelf. MR beat me into the studio last night, which allowed me to walk into hearing ‘idea 2’ blaring from the speakers…. which immediately put a smile on my face! We are indeed on to something that could be very epic here … and I already know who I would love to have turn ‘idea 2’ into a beautiful song. Fingers crossed . Armed with a lot of new ideas, MR and I plan to ramp up our studio time over the coming months, with the goal of a new BIC album late ‘23 or early 2024.

Back to “Kiss Me (Goodbye)” …. We have just finished the final edit of the accompanying video, which will premiere on May 3, 2023!!! As with all BIC videos, this one is very different from our previous - “Bloodletting”

Today is also the release date of ‘Forget That I’m 50’ … a remade/remodeled tribute to David Bowie’s amazing ‘Aladdin Sane'. Tish and I joined Gene Love Jezebel, and along with Michael Aston added a semi-authentic-with-a-twist rendition of “The Jean Genie”. Two other BIC alumni also are featured on this release… Johnny Indovina (Human Drama) added a beautiful version of “Time” and Julian Shah-Tayler, who also produced the album, added his twist to “Lady Grinning Soul”. ‘Forget That I’m 50’ is available now on all streaming platforms … including HERE on Spotify.
