BIC BLOG 2/11/23

wow… it is the first time i’ve sat to do one of these BIC Blogs in 2023! Well, I do need to have something to write about I guess :)

So for those who follow BIC on social, you probably have read that we are working on a new song. Studio time for Michael Rozon and I has been at a premium as he is once again producing the next Ministry album,. He also leaves for a 2-month tour with Jerry Cantrell. If you have heard his ‘Cotton Socks’ re-envision of our “I Will Follow You” featuring the lovely Evi Vine, you will know why Jerry has asked him to join on pedal steel! (more on this tour and Ms. Vine at the end of this blog). That said, we have been working hard and as often as possible to finish our new BIC track. We are close … real close, and God-willing, we should have the final mix completed when we get back into SAINTinLA on Monday evening. This new song should see the light of day as a video-single release sometime in March! Details sure to come …

So what will I do while my partner-in-BIC is on tour? Hummm…. my plans are to get some of the new ideas that are rolling around in my head and partially start to come out when I pick up a guitar into a semi-cohesive form so that we can begin to work on upon his return. We do have a second song started, and I have a singer in mind for that track, so I am hoping to have some time Monday night to give it a quick listen and possibly send a rough version of it to ‘said singer’ to see if he/she is inspired! Would be wonderful if these 2 songs, along with some new can culminate into a BIC EP before the end of the year. I do have a title in mind, so there’s that! If that task is too monumental for year’s end, we will continue to release single tracks until we have a full EP/Album’s worth of material.

Tish and I will continue to join Gene Loves Jezebel on stage this year, with the next show being The Endless Nights ‘Vampire Ball’ on Feb. 19th at the gorgeous Globe Theatre in Los Angeles!
