Before I dive into this crazy week, I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for our Bella. She is doing a bit better and the best news is the the biopsy came back with NO traces of cancer!
So we actually released our All Hallows’ surprise that we have been talking about for the last two months on Friday, as opposed to Halloween. It seemed to be best as most of the Hallows’ festivities would be this weekend! So the surprise track (and video) was our rendition of Concrete Blonde’s classic '“Bloodletting” (The Vampire Song) from their fantastic 1990 album of the same name. <SEE OUR VIDEO HERE>. Being from New Orleans, that song always resonated with me. It was amazing to hear that Johnette Napalitano, (singer/ songwriter of Concrete Blonde) thought our version was “very cool” and that she was “honored”. No, my dear. The honor is all ours.
This video was a blast to make and I sincerely thank all of our friends that came out to help us create my vision of a campy B-horror movie. Vicente Cordero and his Industrialism Films crew did an amazing job on this video! It is really all just in good fun …. and certainly the polar opposite from our last video “Afterlife”!
I also want to thank Nick Court, Andy & Lisa Jane (Andy Cousins Show), DJ Mac, The Sanctuary, DJ Nocturna, DJV, Songs of Preys, and DJ AsuraSunil and anyone I am forgetting for airing our new single!
Big thanks to Alex Green and Stereo Embers for premiering our video and making it their ‘track of the day’!
The New Orleans vibe permeates the nearly seven-minute track and every second is filled with dark and delicious grooves, spooky sax lines and pure post-punk prowl. … Stereo Embers
Also to the mighty Jammerzine… cool in-depth review and a cool exclusive interview for anyone wanting to know more about the who, what and why behind this track!
The song holds your hand and guides you through this. Sometimes somber. Sometimes Solemn. Sometimes singalong. Always signature. You know when to sway and when to chant. Find your queue and become the music … Jammerzine
Always a BIC supporter, Ilker and his notorious ReGen Magazine …
Beauty in Chaos is celebrating the Halloween season with the release of a new single showcasing the dark rock collective’s rendition of Johnette Napolitano’s goth/rock classic “Bloodletting (The Vampire Song).” With ringleader Michael Ciravolo taking on the lead vocal duties, the band infuses an even bleaker, bluesier ambience into the Concrete Blonde hit … ReGen
Bravo to AmplifyMusicMag !
Following the release of their all-female-fronted album ‘Behind The Veil’, alternative rock outfit Beauty In Chaos is back with a new creeping single, called ‘Bloodletting’. This dark, spooky New Orleans-infused rendition of the Concrete Blonde track certainly sets the mood for a freaky Halloween frenzy.
Last for now, but certainly not least from the lovely Adele Cinnamon (Onyx Music Reviews) from down-under !
Is that buzzing sound a blood sucking mosquito in the room? Not exactly as it resolves into revealing itself to be the sax of Mars Williams (Psychedelic Furs), to accompany the flourishing guitars. There is a drawn out sassiness that only increases with the introduction of the vocals from Michael Ciravolo, the man behind the creation of Beauty In Chaos, inducing the feel of New Orleans, because as a native, he has that Southern drawl. The progression becomes almost like a drug fuelled dream, as everything wavers, intoxication settling in and we become part of the undead parade march, into the nightmare that is the lair of the vampire - Onyx
I hope I did not leave anyone out as I am certainly not taking any of this for granted and truly apprecriate everyone taking the time to immerse into what we create! “Bloodletting” will be streaming on all platforms on Monday, but if you are one of these amazing souls that prefer to OWN music and support artists making music, the single is available as a digital download in the BIC STORE HERE. <Note: if you have or plan to purchase our CD “There Is Always A Light”, you will receive the “Bloodletting” download!> Also on our BANDCAMP PAGE.
