Q: Now that things are getting back to normal everywhere, do you think we will get to see Beauty In Chaos live?

A: Well, I’m not sure if things are back to normal everywhere or what the ‘new normal’ will be. Lots of news around of new variants and I don’t think we are close to seeing the full impact of this last year. But, I digress and as to your question … I certainly miss performing on stage. Before Covid, I had actually been, however slowly, putting together pieces in my mind of the ‘how’ to present BIC in a live setting. I would certainly involve recruiting an additional guitarist {or four ! } and a keyboardist. Even with the additional musicians, probably some backing tracks for some of the textures, etc. That in itself is new and a bit unsettling to me! That still leaves the ‘who’ and the ‘where’. I always feel that the more singers that come into our BIC Family, the better chance we have of getting enough together to do BIC ‘justice’ in a live setting. What I mean by ‘justice’ is that a LOT of people have put their heart and soul into BIC and that I would never put this on stage if we could not do it to the same level of care we try to put into every step of our albums…. if that makes sense? Once the shutdowns started last year, I sort of put the live jeanie back in the bottle and focused on the massive undertaking of our 27-track ‘Out Of Chaos Comes…’ release and the new songs where are working on at the present; with plans of a new single/video out by the end of summer and an EP (or full album) by the end of 2021.

While our videos have always been the revolving face of BIC, I still hope at some point to perform these songs in a proper live setting. Even if this doesn’t end up being a ‘tour’, filming a live performance for live streaming or a possible live CD/DVD could happen. My thought wheels are slowly starting to turn, but the new album is priority.
