After a fantastic weekend of recording real drums for our current crop of songs; we took a bit of a BIC break this week and Michael Rozon helped me track some guitars on a dear friend’s song. It’s always a bit daunting for me, especially when ‘semi-vague’ directions that end with ‘just do what you think!” In this situation it is compounded by the fact that the artist’s significant other is a fantastic guitarist! All’s well that ends well … as they both seemed to be really happy with what I added to the song.

We should be back on BIC this week in SAINTinLA, hopefully adding some vocals to the as-of-yet unnamed track 5!

Lots of video talk and planning last week also. It seems we have not one, but two videos in the planning stages, as Kirlian Camera’s amazing front women, Elena Alice Fossi Is on-board for a ‘The Kiss Of The World’ video. Tish and I are heading to a friend’s prop shop to borrow a few things for our upcoming ‘Orion’ video shoot. This gorgeous track, which features the immensely talent Whitney Tai, will be the lead-off single/video for our next LP or EP … whatever it turns out to be! It also just so happens that Kat Leon is shooting her next Holy Wars video at the prop shop. Will be nice to take a sneak peek at her working, as I think she is a master at doing MTV quality videos (yeah I’m old and referencing the point in time when MTV played music videos) on a DIY budget.
