BIC BLOG 7/17/21

A wonderful, creative week here in BIC world … which is a much needed distraction from the craziness that seems to continue to permeate this planet we share.

The film tests for the ‘Orion’ video we are planning went extremely well, and I can now visualize the end result. We should begin shooting next week. The storyboard for the follow-up video/single is also coming together and we might just get to ‘share’ the green screen set we will be creating for ‘Orion’ and shoot some footage sooner than I had thought for ‘The Kiss Of The World’.

Michael Rozon and I have been doing two studio nights the past few weeks, and this week was no different. I have been adding some guitar textures to some simply glorious songs by a dear friend… and it is such a great feeling to hear that she likes what we have sent. Last night we turned back to BIC, and our previously unnamed track #5 is now ‘Afterlife’. My lovely wife Tish, who our BIC Family will know from ‘Look Up’ (from ‘finding beauty in chaos’) as well as appearing in many of our videos, knocked it out the park on her vocals and lyrics. Even though I share a house with her, I had no idea what she was working on for this track. I was not even sure if this was the right track for her … but I’m really thrilled with what she did with it! Musically I had planned for it to be the opening track on the next release; but now hearing it as a song, it might be better suited as the closing track. I really love hearing this record come together … and Michael Rozon is an absolute studio master.

Two very dear friends also released videos this week. Ashton Nyte released his second single from the new Awakening album, “This Alchemy”. Ashton’s version of ‘A Victory Of Love’ is one of my favorite tracks from this must-have record, and the video is stunning. (See it HERE and below).

I also mentioned that a added a bit of guitar textures to Skum Love’s ‘The Dark’, which is a very cool song with a much needed message. I also do a quick cameo in the video HERE. As always, I urge you to BUY the music you love, as it does allow artist’s to continue with their craft.
