BIC BLOG 6/13/20

I’ve certainly duly noted my feelings about music on vinyl in the past. I think about our cover art, track-running-order, liner notes and even the mastering in terms of these wonderful 12” round, grooved pieces of sonic vinyl. It’s still a rush to me to finally hold our music in this format when it arrives. Vinyl has much longer production time than CDs, and certainly more than the almost instant ‘digital' release. Well, ‘The Storm Before The Calm’ albums are finally here! Full color cover, liner notes with credits and lyrics and that ‘vinyl’ sound. If you had Pre-Ordered a copy, most if not all will be posted on Monday. If you have not ordered a copy, you can order yours in Limited Edition Black n’ Blue Duo-Tone or traditional ‘Goth Black’. Both are pressed on heavy 180gram vinyl. A full digital downland (including the bonus ‘title’ track) is included. If you would like your copy signed, I am very happy to do so. Please note it on your order, or if you pre-ordered, email info@beautyinchaosmusic.com with SIGN in the Subject and include your order number. If your are indeed new to BIC, both of our previous albums are also available on vinyl and CD HERE.

This week our friends at NOISE ARTISTS posted some very kind words about BIC and an interview HERE. Also the four gents at WANDERINGS AND WOLLGATHERING had me on their show for an hour long chat about the album, about the process and much more. You can hear it HERE along with their previous highly in-depth review of ‘The Storm Before The CalmHERE.

The super cool and for-all-the-right-reasons ReMISSION INTERNATIONAL project that I’ve mentioned is moving along beautifully, Spearheaded by MISSION main-man, Wayne Hussey, this 2020 version of ‘Tower Of Strength;’ should be released in early July. I am sure the details of how to support it will be put out officially by Wayne on The Mission’s social network. I am just thrilled to be included with the amazing and growing list of artists coming on to be part of this … with ALL MONEY going to Covid charities. AMEN

Since an idle mind is not something I am fond of, we are working now to compile remixes for our planned Halloween release “Out of Chaos Comes …”. I’m also starting the writing process for the new BIC songs, looking for the ‘yang’ to our new album’s ‘ying’ :)

To finish up, I ask everyone to tune in shortly at 11:00 AM Los Angeles time/ 7pm UK / 8pm Germany to hear our dear friend Ashton Nyte’s live concert. There is probably a good chance his all-request set list might just include one of his BIC masterpieces! WATCH and HEAR HERE!

Here’s a flashback to 1997 when I toured with GENE LOVES JEZEBEL - sadly one of the last shows with both Ashton twins on stage together…
