BIC BLOG 4/25/20

Even in the shackles of covid-confines, this has been a BIG week in BIC world! This started way back when beauty re-envisioned’ was near completion and finally we are proud to announce the long-awaited pre-sale of ‘the storm before the calm’! Ironically or not, the official release is less than a month away on World Goth Day or, as many of you know as May 22nd. Please click HERE to Pre-Order yours now!

Big thanks to Ryan Martin / Jammerzine and Ilker Yucel / ReGen Magazine for helping debut our newest single ‘Almost Pure’, featuring Steven Seibold (Hate Dept., Pigface, Standalone)! We do hope to be able to complete a video of this dark romantic track, as we work to try to out-clever the shutdown. I really love this song and feel blessed to finally work with Seibold after knowing him for over two decades!

Our website has been updated with lots of info, quotes and sonic-samples of all the tracks on the new record. Check it out HERE. Make sure to click ‘Explore This Track’ under each.

To be clear, a digital version of the album will be included at no charge with your purchase of either the vinyl or CD version. You will get an immediate download of ‘A Kind Cruelty’, and then the full digital release on 5/22. The CD and Digital version contains the 29-minute title track; a sonic soundscape journey that does not fit on the Vinyl. Broken into 3 movements; I. ‘the gathering’, II. ‘the storm’, and III. ‘the calm’ (which features a gorgeous operatic piece by Adrienne LaVey… I hope everyone at least gives it a listen!

I also appeared this week on a dear friend’s podcast ‘What Now?’. Daniel and I talk guitars, BIC and life. You can hear the hour plus of my ramblings HERE.

Lots of adjectives to decide how I feel about finally finishing this record though the many obstacles thrown at Michael Rozon and I. I sincerely hope our BIC FAMILY enjoys this new chapter and will continue on this journey with us.

Please check out the various formats below that ‘the storm before the calm’ will be available in. If you just discovered BIC by the free downloads, there is also a special 3-CD package if you would like to own the physical releases! Also, due to most of the artists on this (and all) BIC release not living in the Los Angeles area, I can’t get everyone to sign your vinyl/CD; but I would be honored and happy to try and make this happen if this is something you would like. Please make a NOTE in your order, or email us at info@beautyinchaosmusic.com Please reference your order number and put “SIGN” in the subject!
