MONDAY Q&A 12/9/19

Q:  Just watched the new video, which is fantastic.  I wanted to see what the story is behind the horse guy in the video?

A:  Ha!  You caught that!!!  It's honestly just sort of an inside running joke.  Not taking anything away from any of the lyrics.  Just injecting a tiny bit of levity I guess.  The mask belonged to my daughter and I came across it when we were getting ready to shoot our 'Look Up' video, I think it than one the first appearance of the 'horse head guy' added a bit to the whimsical vibe of that one.  Tish's lyrics are certainly about our family so it made sense.  The second sighting came in the most recent '20th Century Boy’ video with Rolan and Wayne.  I wanted a bit of fun fanfare at the end with the confetti and streamers.  I didn't tell either of them about my plans, and I think you can see utter shock (or horror?) on their faces when 'he' appears.  I think when he sashays across the stage at the end is pure gold!  I guess I wanted to continue it in the new 'the delicate balance of all things' video ... and it just seemed to bit, to lighten the mood momentarily.  With a few more videos planned from the upcoming album, I am sure this won't be the last you see of him !
