It has been a frantic week her for sure. Michael Rozon is playing his beautiful pedal steel this weekend with our dear friend Tyler Bates and Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), so we have not got as far along in our mixing schedule as we had planned … which is amping up the stress level for us to met the mastering and press (LP) deadline. God-willing, we’ll get it all done. The first two mixes sound amazing to my biased ears!
Leslie Gladney (Editor/Industrialism Films) and I worked hard at finalizing the edit for our new video and debut single from our forthcoming album. Our amazing PR Company, Shameless, secured a premiere with the legendary Slicing Up Eyeballs, which is Matt Sebastian who hosted Dark Wave on First Wave/SiriusXM. Our ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ video premiered as planned yesterday … but unfortunately on the upload, YouTube seemed to overly compress the audio … making it much quieter than it should have been. It is probably due to the jarring metal door crash I had added at the end … designed to ‘jar’ the listener a bit. My fault, and probably something I should have noticed … but in my haste to meet that deadline I didn’t compare it to our other videos.
So Leslie and I scrambled to find a ‘fix’ … but after countless work around attempts with YouTube … we had to re-upload the video. So, you will now see two versions up (at least for now). If you have already watched it and (hopefully shared) it … please take the next 6 minutes and watch our ‘enhanced' version’ HERE or see below!
I am not sure if Slicing Up Eyeballs has gotten around to changing the link, but I wanted to share their post HERE as I sincerely appreciate them hosting the premiere. Pretty surreal being alongside bands that fill up my record collection … but I guess that’s the power of Mr. Hussey :)
I would also like to thank several friends at radio shows for adding our new single to their playlists right out the gate! Nick Court (Darkness and Chaos), Mark Musolf (Songs Of Preys) and of course, Andy and Lisa Jane from the Andy Cousins Show.
I am hoping many more sites and blogs will pick up on our release, but I want to say a big thanks to our dear friend Ryan Martin and his mighty Jammerzine for all of his support and for this nice feature, which includes some behind-the-scences pics and a bit of a Q&A. Please check it out HERE.
We really hope you enjoy the new song … as it sets the tone for our new album; “the storm before the calm'“ (available 2/21/20 on 33.3 Music Collective). Pre-Order info coming soon.
