BIC BLOG 8/14/21

As mentioned last week, we are off on a bit of a road trip … well a guess more than a bit since as of today we have clocked in 2200 miles in our new motor coach dubbed ‘Bonnie’ and are sitting overlooking a lake in Paw Paw, Michigan with both of our daughters! The proverbial ‘chord’ is mostly unplugged, but I have been in daily contact with Michael Rozon as he readies the final mix of ‘Orion’. Whitney and I should hear a close-to-final mix next week; and we will make any notes before calling this one done! The ‘rough’ mix that we used to shoot the video to sounds fantastic, and I know after Mr. Rozon’s critical listening tweaks this beautiful song will be absolutely stellar! Love or hate what we do, there is no denying that he makes BIC records sound great! Speaking of the ‘Orion’ video , i got to see an almost-complete cut yesterday… and WOW!!!. We are all really excited to share this with our BIC Family! Our plan is still to premiere it before the end of September.

Elena’s footage for ‘the kiss of the world’ is also enroute, so Vicente Cordero will begin infusing her performance with the dystopian concepts we filmed. This one should be lethal!

Somewhat uncharacteristically, I am still undecided if our next release (the working title ‘Lifting the Veil’ is sticking with me) will be a full-fledged album, or a 5-6 track EP. There are still quite a few of very talented ladies that I am excited to work with, but my impatience is starting to win-out … which means possibly two EPs are in the cards. I guess I am just thinking out loud now.
