with both of Tish and I’s daughters back to their ‘post lockdown life’, I think the best way to combat the pending ‘empty-nest’ depression is to jump in big with new BIC material!

While I was away last week, Mr. Rozon spent some hours in SAINTinLA doing his magic on the first 4 tracks … getting them ready for Dirk to come in at the end of the month to add some live drums. We also found a bit of time last week to work a bit on a special ‘re-envision’ of one of the songs that will either be the cornerstone of the next ‘remix’ record, or more than likely be a bonus track on the next release. I do know it was a much needed distraction to be back in the studio. I have also started a pair of musical ideas that I look forward to developing into full songs; even though I am still leaning towards releasing an EP as opposed to waiting to compile a full 12 song plus BIC album.

Now with nothing but time, we will ramp up the video planning for ‘Orion’ (ft. Whitney Tai) , which will be the first video/single …. with hopes of a mid-August release. I also wait with baited breath for vocals to magically appear in my inbox for the as-of-yet-unnamed tracks 3 & 4. This is truly one of the cool parts of curating BIC… hearing what a music track moves a singer to write.

I was also honored to be asked by Cinthya and Wayne Hussey to add some guitars to a song they are working on for Cinthya’s upcoming album. She is still recording her vocals on it at their studio in Brazil. but I am looking forward to hearing the song and (hopefully) adding some parts and textures they are happy with. A bit daunting, as her in-house guitarist and husband is one of my favorite players :). Speaking of Wayne, here is a cool interview he just did with Post-Punk.Com Listen to it HERE.

Big congratulations to Elena Alice Fossi and Kirlian Camera with their new album ‘Cold Pills’ (Scarlett Gate of Toxic Daybreak) is now charting in many of the European Charts! Ms. Fossi will be featured on ‘The Kiss Of The World’ from our next BIC release.

I recently added a bit of guitar to a dear friend, Anthony Love’s Skumlove new single “The Dark”. I also did a cameo in the video, which was directed by Vicente Cordero …. who has done many of our BIC videos. The video and single, which deals with depression should be released by the end of the month.

I’m really enjoying Ashton’s new Awakening release ‘This Alchemy’! It is a wonderful collection of songs,, and if you don’t have a copy … get yours HERE!
