MONDAY MC Q&A 3/1/21

Q: Hello, I am a big fan of Kirlian Camera for many years, and love them more since Elena Alice Fossi has become the lead singer. I would like to know how you meet her and what her song is like for Beauty In Chaos? Also, do you plan to perform with her?

A: I was trying to remember how just the other night! I think our publicist, Shauna (Shameless Promtion PR) was promoting either the band or an event that Kirlian Camera was involved in a year or so ago…. so I gave it a listen and was immediately blown away by Elena’s voice, stage presence and being Italian!. I reached out to her thru Facebook and we have conversed a bit since… and followed each others music. As I have planned our next album to be all female singers, I knew I wanted her to be involved. Besides Kirlian Camera, she seems to be doing a lot of projects, but I took the chance any way. Thankfully she was eager to be part. I sent her the first song we started, asking her if this piece of music moved her. She said she loved it and jumped on writing to it. The first vocals she sent to me are gorgeous … and she is working to finalize the chorus, so it does not have a title yet. As far as what it is like? … hard to describe, but I think her fans, and fans of BIC will NOT be disappointed! BIC is really not a ‘live’ entity … so there have been no real performances. Videos are currently the ‘face’ of BIC, and distances have not deterred our videos … so even though Elena and I have not discussed, there is always the chance we pull something together creative, mysterious and cool.
