BIC BLOG 2/6/21
Well 2021 is 1/12th in the books and its ‘sunny and 70*’ in LA’s ‘winter’ ….. I’m sure it sounds fantastic to those of you in snow and rain… but the lack of any real seasons does get more than a little tiring. Well enough of the weather report …
Our new video, ‘the delicate balance of all things’, featuring Cinthya Hussey has been out a little over a week and is being very well received. I am still amazed by what Cinthya, Wayne and the amazing team they put together accomplished with this one! One thing I want to clarify on this track; I have received more than a few emails complimenting me on ‘my guitar solo’ on this version. While I knew what I wanted to hear on this solo, which is way out of my wheelhouse… it was my friend Nick Johnston playing this. This guy is simply amazing and I urge you to give his own music a listen. That said, I think I did a not-too-bad chaotic solo at the end of the original version! :)
While on the topic of the new video and Ms. Hussey, she also just released a video for a gorgeous remix of her ‘my heart is a ghost town’. The remix was done by Julian Shah-Tayler, who also did a fantastic remix of Wayne’s version of ‘the delicate balance of all things’. Julian’s ‘JST Off Balance’ remix is available on the digital version of ‘out of chaos comes…’ or HERE on Spotify.
I continue to work this week at my home studio and in SAINTinLA with Michael Rozon. We are deep into a second track that I think is coming along nicely. I am hoping after another night or two, this one will be ready enough for us to send to one of our female singers that have ‘signed' on’ to the new BIC. I am hoping this one will go to an LA area singer, as it is my hopes to be able to do a new video with it. The plan, however fluid, is to release a string of singles or even the old school ‘double A side’ singers’, with videos when possible… Hopefully by year’s end, the singles, along with additional songs will come together as the tentatively titled ‘lifting the veil’ album.
