“the chaos is very much calmed to emphasize the beauty, and it works well.” was a quote used by Christopher Nosnibor in his review of our new video/single in Aural Aggravation. I think this description is certainly apropos for what we were going for … both sonically and visually. Tim Palmer’s ‘Rapid Reiteration' mix of The Delicate Balance of All Things and the accompanying video which premiered earlier this week oscillate 180* from the jittery destruction of the Cruel World ‘Stranger’ remix.

With Covid shutting down our ability to travel, Cinthya and Wayne took the reins to make this video in Sau Paulo, Brazil. Honestly, they didn’t give away much of their concept to me other than … ‘circus tent’, ‘trapeze’ and a half jokingly ‘beauty and the beast’ reference! When they sent over the first cut it was as much of a pleasant surprise as it was when Wayne sent me over a rough mix with Cinthya’s beautiful vocals tracks. To me, Tim’s remix and the David Lynch inspired video take this song that Wayne and I wrote two years ago to a new level. I can’t thank the three of them enough for contributing not only their talents, but their heart and soul into this song and video. Cinthya and I are planning to write another song for the next Beauty In Chaos, and I certainly hope to collaborate with Wayne in the future. I think we have written three songs together.that I feel will stand the test-of-time. There are ‘rumors’ of photos of Wayne on the trapeze/ coat hanger contraption and I am going to work tirelessly to acquire (and share!) these :)

I would like to thank Post-Punk.Com for premiering the video, along with some amazing follow-up reviews by Canada’s Amplify Music Magazine, Outburn Online, MK Ultra Magazine, France’s Obscure, and the above mentioned Aural Aggravation.

A special thank you to Ryan Martin and his amazing Jammerzine / JammerDirect for speaking with Cinthya, Wayne and myself about the video and other worldly topics … fighting thru some ‘Zoom’ technical abnormalities. Give it a listen HERE.

With the Ministry album in his rearview mirror, Michael Rozon and I are diving in the deep end with some new BIC material! As I mentioned last week, the first track is in the hands of an incredible female vocalist. This week, we started another track. Always in quest of new sonics, I have dug out a few guitars I have had in mothballs and had them set up with different tunings … with the plan of yielding inspiration. At least that is the plan! I think I will try to do more ‘documenting’ of the process … maybe some Instagram and even TikTok live. Whatcha think?
