BIC BLOG 2/20/21

A very productive week here in BIC World … as one of the many ‘joys’ of curating this thing is hearing the transformation of a piece of music into a song! I have been purposely vague on the singers, as I wanted to make sure that the music we sent them did indeed resonate with them. Well, we struck gold on the first two we have sent out as both of these amazingly singers channeled their passion, heart and soul into them.

I have been conversing via messenger with Elena Alice Fossi (singer and songwriter for the popular Italian group Kirlian Camera) about working together, as I was drawn to her voice … and the opportunity finally lined-up for us both. Her initial vocal tracks are quite stunning, but the track is still un-named as she is still fine tuning the chorus section. Elena’s elegantly powerful persona and voice are a perfect addition to our BIC Family. I urge you to delve into her catalog … as she is truly a talented artist, and we are excited to welcome her to our BIC Family!

The second track has graduated from ‘BIC2’ to ‘Orion’, thanks to Ms. Whitney Tai ! Kat Leon introduced me to her about 6 months ago, and I instantly loved her voice and songwriting. After talking, we had similar tastes in music and she was very into what I described as this next incarnation of BIC. After doing her home demo of the song, she came to our SAINTinLA studio this week and re-recorded ‘Orion’ with Michael Rozon and I. We were both amazed at her voice and sense of harmony. She even wrote a fantastic additional verse on the spot. Since Whiney is a Yonkers, NY transplant living in Los Angeles, we have already started discussing a possible accompanying video !

I think I have the beginnings of ‘BIC3’ and ‘BIC4’ started … so hopefully by the end of March we will have those ready to match with a singer/lyricist from my ‘list’ !

Our recent video, ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ featuring the lovely Cinthya Hussey, nears 5000 views. And yes, Ms. Hussey is on our ‘list’ for the next record, as she truly did an amazing job on this song.

As I begrudgingly try to embrace Spotify, we have released ‘Bonus Re-Envisions’. These are the 12 tracks that did not fit on the CD version of ‘Beauty Re-Envisions’. There are some fantastic remixes here, so I wanted to make sure they are not overlooked. These remixes are included in digital format with any purchase of the release HERE!.
