Q: I am surprised to see all Beauty In Chaos releases, including the two new singles on Spotify as I read that you are not a fan of streaming? What changed your mind on this ?

A: Well, I am still not a ‘fan’. I get the convenience to a certain extent, but I think it devalues the art of music. I am blessed that I do not depend on BIC revenue to support my family. but I know many artists that do and the idea of paying the artist a fraction of a penny is a crime. Eventually it will kill music in physical formats which is too a crime. To me, that is the way music should be ‘consumed’. My views have been stated multiple times, and I am not going to change anyone’s mind. I have close friends that don’t buy our BIC vinyl or CDs… telling me ‘I have Apple Music’. To answer your question, I felt that I was doing the artists involved in BIC , who put their heart, soul, time and talents into these songs a disservice by not making their songs … and yes, these are their songs too, more widely available. While I am happy being the guy romanticizing how it used to be … I respect my collaborating partners too much to hold them to my beliefs.
