BIC BLOG 6/27/20

We were blessed with some additional positive press this week on 'the storm before the calm’ release. If you have not seem them, please check out some intelligent Q&A here on POST-PUNK.COM and SKYLIGHT WEBZINE.. Again, this is never lost on me that we have this forum to talk about our record! Speaking of the album, it seems that both CD and VINYL copies are not reaching our BIC Family across the pond. As always, we urge you to get your own physical copy HERE, as this is truly how we hope this work can be heard.

We are still doing some re-editing on our next video for ‘STRANGER’, which features HOLY WARS’s KAT LEON. I sooo love this song and I am really looking forward to premiering the accompanying visual in late July! I have begun receiving additional remixes, which will be included on ‘Out Of Chaos Comes,,,’, which we plan for a Halloween release. It’s probably strange to hear we already are talking about another release, but I love the remix idea and seems to be the perfect companion to ‘the storm before the calm’. So far, I am really enjoying where these fantastics artists, including Tim Palmer, Tyler Bates and John Fryer have taken them. Mr, Rozon and I are working on a different take of ‘the delicate balance of all things’, and will be back in SAINTinLA tomorrow to add some additional touches. My mind is already starting to wrap around some new video concepts to accompany these remixes!

The announcement that the estranged Aston twins, Michael and Jay of Gene Loves Jezebel have put their long running feud aside, at least enough to be included on the ReMISSION INTERNATIONAL version of ‘Tower Of Strength’ 2020 has certainly caused quite a stir. And since I join Ms, Julianne Regan as being the only ones on in this project to play with them both, I have been getting questions about what this all means. I think I answered it best HERE on last week’s Q&A. Wayne of course, is in the driver’s seat on this and the plan seems to have the digital version out by mid-late July. Details will certainly come out first on all MISSION social platforms. Again, I can’t say enough just how blessed I am to be a small part of this amazing project.

Finally, Tish and I were lucky to spend this morning with our coffee, listening to Ashton Nyte’s new record, with other lucky Skypers. ‘Waiting For A Voice’ is a beautiful, understated absolute masterpiece. I urge everyone to pre-order a copy HERE, along with his book. After hearing the full record today, I am certainly going to amp up my ‘nagging’ of said Mr. Nyte, to record a version of ‘The Outside’ in this musical vein!
