With our ‘The Storm Before The Calm’ being out now for a week, it is wonderful to hear that the album is resonating with many as we had hoped it would. Here’s a super in-depth song by song look at the album by the amazing cast of characters that make up Wanderings And Woolgathering. Hear it HERE on ITUNES or even the dreaded SPOTIFY. I am scheduled to be on the show next week with more details to come!
‘Almost Pure’ featuring Steven Seibold, was selected as Stereo Embers track-of-the-day!
Also some kind words from Mike D. at Noise Journal HERE.
“I suggest to check this release as it will stay on your stereo for a nice long time. I listen to it a lot as it has all I need; songs, performance, the sound, and absolutely this feeling which reminds me of these really big records, and such records will never stop being made only a little less often.” … Mike D. / Noise Journal
As hinted last week .. we will be shooting a video tomorrow for one of my favorite songs off the new record; ‘Stranger’ featuring the amazing and captivating Kat Leon. As with all of our videos, our goal is to make this one unique and different. This lyrics to ‘Stranger’ are so deep, I hope we do this one justice. It is our plan to release this in late June.
“I chose to speak about the feeling of grief and feeling completely disconnected from myself and from life itself after the loss of my parents. And how long that feeling tends to linger even years after their passing. Hearing the finished song was incredible and brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait for this song to be released and speak to others who may be feeling the same way”….Kat Leon
In between Michael Rozon working with Al Jourgensen on the new MINISTRY record, we are getting into SAINTinLA to work or actually ‘re-work’ ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ to be included with some other fantastic reinterpretations on an album we plan to release on Halloween. In the planning stages right now, but we are indeed off and running!
I also got inspired to track a bit more guitar for Wayne Hussey’s ‘Band Aid’ version of The Mission classic ‘Tower of Strength’ . This list of contributors to this heart-felt project, with ALL MONIES going to Covid related charities, continues to grow and amaze me. I am truly blessed to be part of this. I am sure Wayne will be sharing more about this as it nears completion.
I sincerely hope if you like what your hear, see and read about ‘The Storm Before The Calm’, you will consider purchasing it HERE. We would certainly love nothing more than to continue to make BIC music available in physical formats. All CD orders are posted and enroute to all. Please note - you do get an instant code to enjoy the digital version of the album while you are waiting for Mr. Postman! The vinyl, including the Uber-cool Limited Edition are being pressed now and we should have them in our hands by mid-June.
