BIC BLOG 5/2/20
writing this while watching a gorgeous FaceBook Live performance by Evi Vine. Blessed that she is part of our BIC FAMILY and looking forward to our next joint endeavor!
Tish and I also enjoyed Ashton Nyte’s version of ‘Heroes’ today over morning coffee… a fantastic rendition of one of the greatest songs every written. If you haven’t heard it … it is a MUST. (hear it here)
Speaking of one of the all time greatest… THE CURE’s ‘Disintegration’ was released 31 years ago today. Seriously WTF!
In BIC world, we are twenty days from the official release of ‘the storm before the calm’! You can pre-order yours in vinyl (including the cool numbered LTD Edition colored version), Compact Disc or digital HERE! As always, I will pester our amazing label 33.3 MUSIC COLLECTIVE, to send out to digital version for all pre-orders a tad early :)
Remember to check out this page (and the ‘Explore This Track’ links) to read some back story on each song, hear a bit of each and read the amazing lyrics.
Working on putting together a video for our latest single, ‘Almost Pure’, featuring Hate Dept,’s Steven Seibold. A bit different and difficult task during this shutdown, but clever minds will prevail! Honestly, I am hoping to be able to do some sort of visual presentation for each of the songs on this record.
Michael Rozon and I have complied the audio stems for all of the songs, and have begun desiminating them to some amazing artists as we plan another ‘e-envision’ style release later this year. We also spent a couple of nights this week in SAINTinLA recording guitars and textures for a cool ‘star-studded’ charity concept. Really all I can say right now, but I am certainly Blessed to be asked.
Finally, many, many thanks to the mighty MISSION for sharing our FREE DOWNLOAD offer of both of our albums this week. It does my soul good to know that a lot of people discovered BIC, and hope the music within made this world-wide mess a bit brighter. For those who got the downloads and would like the physical copies, our label is offering this super 3-CD SPECIAL. Also, another reminder, I think there still may be a few copies remaining of both BIC CDs, signed by Mr. Hussey and myself in the MISSION STORE.
Stay Safe, Sane and Kind!
