MONDAY Q&A 4/6/20

Q: How is this quarentine affecting BEAUTY IN CHAOS and how are you dealing with it?

A: Personally we are doing what most sane people are doing .. staying home and only going out when absolutely necessary.  Blessed that our daughters are home with us and that we have a house with a yard and I also have a small bedroom recording studio.  I can’t imagine how this is for many who have to ride this out in a small apartment or separated from their loved ones.

As for BIC, thankfully the new album is finished and sent off to the pressing plant.  What is an issue we are facing is that we are not getting a firm delivery date (which is usually 6-8 weeks)... which is understandable during this crisis as they depend on outside printers for the jacket, sleeves, etc.   I just have to let it go as it is something I can’t control.  It has been suggested that we hold off on our 5/22 release date as coming out with an album right now is ‘not a wise business move’. Well maybe not, but I, along with our label and the artist involved on this record agree it is important for people to have new music at now.  So to be clear, ‘the storm before the calm’ we be released on May 22nd.

I certainly have plans for two if not three additional videos, but that is proving to be tricky at this juncture, With most if not all facilities we have used in the past being fully shut down as well as being quarantined.

I am still looking out a way to have some sort of video of one of the tracks to be ready to coincide or shortly after the albums release.  I certainly strive to make each video unique and different so maybe this is works out as it will certainly be different!

Michael and I are putting the final touches on the instrumental piece which is plan to close out the CD version... Much of this I recorded in my home studio, but we do need to get together for Michael to do his magic and cobble  this together.  We will use social distancing, complete with black masks and gloves along with each our own  bottle of red wine!
