BIC BLOG 4/11/20

Well as I sit on my patio to type this blog I am starting to feel like Bill Murray in ‘Ground Hog’s Day’! Nothing has really changed much since last week. The Los Angeles ‘Stay at Home’ order has been extended another month til May 15th. Maybe this will be all behind us by May 22nd; World Goth Day which is also know as the release date of ‘the storm before the calm’ ! This certainly makes it even more difficult to do the planned videos and photo shoot to accompany the album release. Oh well, I guess it is time for even more clever!!!

Mr. Rozon and I have put on our ‘essential personal’ hats and whittled away a bit more at compiling the long-title-track-mostly-instrumental that will end the CD version of the album. We are also taking this time to compile ‘stems’ to send out to some amazing friends that have signed on to do ‘remixes’. This record will not come out until November, but many have downtime now and are looking to stay busy. After being so focused on the new songs for ‘TSBTC’ it is liberating and exciting to again hand over the keys-to-the-car and see what happens! 33.3 Music Collective’s Tim Perry and I are also finihzing CD art and the web updates. We are planning to launch the pre-sale on 4/22 .. one month prior to the release date.

On behalf of our entire BIC Family, I hope everyone is safe and sane. I believe there is a silver-lining or at least a lesson to be had in all of this. Hopefully it is becoming clear what is truly important. As I mentioned last week, Tish and I are Blessed that our daughters are home with us. I know some are not as lucky. It pains me to see them struggle to deal with their college classes on-line, but they are adapting. They both had ‘on-line wine parties’ with their friends last night! I am relishing our face-to-face timeo ver FaceTime as I know, at some point, they will again be on the other side of the country. I am listening to more music now than I have in a long time.. which is inspiring me to start writing what comes next. Again … #silverlinings
