BIC BLOG 4/18/20
Seems on the surface another ‘Groundhog Day week’ but lots of the the behind the scenes administrative somewhat creative parts of releasing an album in the works.
Michael Rozon and I are practicing safe, social distancing, recording and mixing the last piece of the CD puzzle. I’m working on a few sonic additions here at my home studio as we plan to do the final adds/tweaks tomorrow at SAINTinLA. It’s all now in Rozon’s very capable hands to attempt to make sense of this immense immersive soundscape.
FINALLY : 8pm Los Angeles time on Tuesday April 21st the PRE-SALE will go live for ‘the storm before the calm’. I think I can speak for everyone involved in this record that we are all extremely proud of what we have created. I am beyond touched by all of the words of encouragement from our growing BIC Family! We have overcome technical and viral obstacles to get this album complete! Our website will be updated with cool info and quotes about the new songs as well as some sonic-samples.
If you are on the BIC mailing list or have purchased our previous albums, you will get an email notification to place a pre-order. We will be offering two ‘versions’ of the vinyl this time. A LTD Edition numbered duo-tone edition (1/200 - 200/200) and a Goth-Black version. Both will be pressed on 180 gram vinyl for maximum aural enjoyment! As with previous BIC releases, a full digital version will be included with Vinyl or CD purchase!
I also wanted to share the information about Ashton Nyte’s upcoming release. As you know, Ashton has and continues to be a big part of BIC. He has just announced the pre-order of his upcoming ‘Waiting For A Voice’. Please visit his site HERE to check out some very cool exclusive items.
Stay safe, sane and kind … and look for silver linings in all of this.
