MEMORY OF LOVE
I HAVE SEEN
I'VE SEEN THE VALLEY
I HAVE CROSSED THRU ITS DARKNESS
I HAVE LOST SO MANY BATTLES
I HAVE KNOWN SO MANY DEMONS
I HAVE FOUGHT WITH THE MEMORY OF LOVE,
BUT THE MEMORY OF LOVE IS SLIPPING THRU MY FINGERS
SOMETIMES THE MEMORY OF LOVE
IS JUST NOT ENOUGH
TO WIN THIS WAR I'M FIGHTING STILL
OH, TO STARE INTO LOVING EYES
TO SMILE TO CRY
AND TO FEEL
THE TOUCH OF A HAND AS I'M REACHING OUT MINE
MAY BE JUST, JUST A REFLECTION
I HAVE HELD THE EXPECTATION
THAT I AM NOT, I'M NOT ALONE,
THAT I AM NOT, I’M NOT FORGOTTEN,
YET WE ARE
AND THE MEMORY OF LOVE
THE MEMORY OF LOVE CAN’T CARRY ANYMORE
IT IS WORN
THE MEMORY OF LOVE, JUST MUST BE ENOUGH
EVEN THE LITTLE THAT REMAINS
OH, TO STARE INTO LOVING EYES
TO SMILE TO CRY
AND TO FEEL
THE TOUCH OF A HAND AS I'M REACHING OUT MINE
I WANT TO GIVE AGAIN
I WANT TO LIVE AGAIN
I'M DROWNING IN A WATERFALL
OF PICTURES AND PLACES AND FEELINGS RECALLED
I'VE LET GO BUT I STILL HOLD ON
TO EVERYTHING AND TO NOTHING AT ALL
MY MEMORY OF LOVE, CAN’T BE TAKEN AWAY
BUT IT STANDS IN THE DISTANCE SHRINKING
I SHOUT, BUT MY MEMORY OF LOVE IS FADING AWAY
MY MEMORY OF LOVE IT FADES AWAY
OH, TO STARE INTO LOVING EYES
TO SMILE TO CRY
AND TO FEEL
THE TOUCH OF A HAND AS I'M REACHING OUT MINE

PANDO
Pando is the ultimate in-demand bassist for some of the biggest 'MTV era' bands, doing long stints with MISSING PERSONS, GENE LOVES JEZEBEL (where I was fortunate to share the stage with Pando for 50+ shows) and his current long standing position as bassist and musical director for A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS.
Pando combines commanding stage presence and a rock solid, melodic playing style. He joined GLJ in studio for several tracks on our critically acclaimed 'Exploding Girls' album, including the title track. Trilled to have him on this record, and besides myself ... he has the best hair :)
I've known Johnny since I was 17 and he is one of my best friends in this world. I formed The Models with him New Orleans.. We moved to Los Angeles in the mid '80s and changed our name to HUMAN DRAMA..
I've played many a shows with this guy, and recorded many a songs. When I sat down to write the music to this song, I really wanted to write that big guitar hook anthem that I think was a hallmark of the early Human Drama sound. I'm not sure if Johnny agrees or not... but I think we both managed to reach back 30 years and nailed it on this song!
