“Present Tense” was a great experience for me. I very much enjoyed collaborating with Sarah on the lyrics and creating something that suited the tone and mood of the song. We spent some time working on a vocal arrangement that complemented the vibe of the instrumentation, which was decidedly pensive and introspective. ”‘It’s always a pleasure working with Beauty In Chaos, they have become family to us and collaborating with them gets me to explore another side of myself when writing and performing the songs. In this song, “The Devil You know”, I wanted to highlight this famous saying because I have learned in my life that sometimes those that are most threatening to you can be the person right in front of your eyes. This song gives a softer performance to some cutting yet empowering lyrics. I like that it has a dreamy quality to the production which made me want to lean the lyrics in a direction that represents something more of a nightmare for an interesting juxtaposition”. . “When Michael first sent me the backing track I was on tour with The Mission. I had a few listens and thought, yes, this is good, I can find something to sing to this easy enough. And then nothing. For months I’d listen and I would come up with melodies aplenty but no words would come. More time passed and Michael would ask how I was getting on and each time I’d reply, ‘I’ve got vocal melodies but no lyrics, absolutely nothing is coming.’ I must confess that I was getting worried that I’d never be able to write another song - ever. I was raking over all my old lyric notebooks and various word documents on old hard drives and still nada. I was bemoaning my situation to Cinthya one evening and she suggested I write about a personal situation I found myself in a few years back. I got my mind focused in the right direction, and in the studio singing along to the track, I soon got the first line, with the rest following fairly easily…and quickly. It was a huge relief to have the elusive muse visit me again. I played it to Cin and she suggested a couple of small changes and voila, here you have it. I won’t explain what or who the song is about, there’s no need for that, I’ll just leave the listener to make up their own mind and take from it what they will.” …WAYNE HUSSEY (THE MISSION)
“When I first heard the instrumental backing track for this song I immediately fell in love with Michael's guitars. It's the kind of song that embraces you... and I could listen to it all day long.
I know Wayne was having a bit of trouble coming up with lyrics and he even suggested me to write them, but I asked him to persist and I suggested to him to set some parameters by picking a theme.
He was a bit stuck for ideas so I threw an idea at him that was relevant and would be good to get out of his system... And off he went... majestically so!
I was so happy when Michael asked if I could sing the bv's. Wayne and I had a blast in the studio working on Diving For Pearls. I really love Tim's mix and how it all came together. This is probably one of my favourite Beauty In Chaos songs.” … CINTHYA HUSSEY (Archeometre)

There’s no right or wrong choice …. It’s difficult to find words that don’t contradict the beliefs of “what is love ?!” and The one can only hope that in the end we find a harbor to lay our anchor in .
There’s still a method to a chaos … The truth is in the eye of the beholder .
Got acquainted with the BiC collective through a very talented musician and producer Julian Shah-Tayler, who i get to weekly share the stage doing the Strangelove endeavors ( 😉) BiC music is ethereal and timeless , which really appeals to more of an alternative rock side of influences , especially given the roster of endlessly talented musicians they previously collaborated with . Personally it felt like a confession , almost a family-like ceremony … Songs are the cryptic message we send to the world .” Leo Luganskiy
