BIC BLOG 8/28/21
After skipping last week’s blog, I decided to jump back on it while we are on our return drive home from the much-needed trek to see our daughters. I am typing this now from Roswell, New Mexico. Yes, that Roswell - home of the the famed ‘flying saucer’ crash (weather ballon according to the US Army)! Always cool to visit a place you read a lot about as a kid. Even if this is technically a ‘vacation’, BIC is never really on the back-burner.
Mr. Rozon has been hard at work, not only finalizing the mix for ‘Orion’, but also working on ‘Afterlife’ … which, in my crystal ball, will probably be the 3rd video/single. To my jaded eyes, the rough cut of the ‘Orion’ video is pretty spectacular and in typical BIC fashion … different from any of the others.. The plan is to premiere the video on September 22nd. Ms. Elena Fossi’s ‘the kiss of the world’ video footage has arrived, and I have been working with Vicente Cordero and his Industrialism Films’ team on making my ‘1984/Big Brother’ storyline come alive. I’m really excited about this one!!!
I plan to go back into the studio upon our return, to finalize the ‘Orion’ video edit with Michael and get that track off to editing. I should also see some initial footage of ‘the kiss of the world’ … which is slated for a late November/early December release. As for the next album or EP …. I am still holding out hope of adding at least one more song to it as long as time permits, as I don’t want to delay the release past February 2022!
Till then, I have assured our friends at 33.3 Music Collective that I would remind everyone about our physical releases (Vinyl and CD)! I think everyone is well aware of my thoughts on owning ‘physical’ copies of music not only of BIC, but any music you love. It is the last-line-of-defense from an all digital world! If you don’t own our discography, please check it out HERE. 33.3 is also doing a crazy CD sale of ALL FOUR of our albums HERE.
