BIC BLOG 11/13/21

Eye on the prize!! Lots on the BIC ‘to do by…’ list but we made great strides this week and even checked off a few of those boxes. Feels great to put a third song in the finished column (sans mastering) and a forth that is only a few slider moves away from joining its other 3 musical siblings! Mr. Rozon and I continue to work on the gorgeous “Open Wound Heart” and I am happy to say the ‘Behind The Veil’s unnamed sixth track is that no more. It has become “Grasp The Stars”, and will be the albums closing track … and is a bit of a left turn to the rest. Maybe a foreshadow of the next BIC?

With the Elena Alice Fossi fronted “The Kiss Of The World” video finished and set for its 12.2.21 premiere, we have started the initial discussions for the next two videos. Rough concepts… but concepts!

I also got back into the pilot’s seat in SAINTinLA to handle the ‘busy work’ of compiling stems for remixing. As mentioned, it is our plan to include remixes/re-envisions on the CD and digital version of ‘Behind The Veil’ as opposed to a separate release as we have done twice in the past. Julian Shah-Tayler was first out the gate, and has started creating a couple of very cool and different interpretations. Please check out his solo work and also this fantastic re-envision of “The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ !

Finally, wishing a very happy birthday to The Mission’s Simon Hinkler. Always one of my favorite guitarists, and we are blessed to have him part of our BIC Family with his Deliverince-esque solo on Tim Palmer’s Sinistrality remix of “A Kind Cruelty” Check out Slink’s cameo in our video HERE and below!
