Q: I read your blog and was curious about the next record being available on vinyl? Sounds like it might not be? I have all of the other BIC records on vinyl.

A: First, thank you for reading the Blog and for purchasing all our vinyl! I make no secret of my love for real records and hearing music in this format. We are blessed to be with a label (33.3 Music Collective), no matter how small, that feel the same.

We certainly plan to make ‘Behind The Veil’ available on vinyl. The concern comes from the production time to press vinyl While digital is almost instant, and CD production is 2-3 weeks, … most vinyl pressing plants are running at 35-45 weeks turnaround time.

With Michael Rozon and I’s schedule to finish the album tracks by mid-December, this would mean we would not get vinyl in hand til early Summer. Sadly, this is also not taking into consideration Holidays, shipping slowdowns, test-pressing approval …. And God forbid, more Covid issues.

I feel our BIC family will understand this, and are not part of today’s instant gratification-forgot tomorrow world. We are also looking into some ‘short run’ pressing plants, but those lack some of the cool color and print options, as well as test pressings. We are continuing to look at options to make this work for our next release. As always, anyone pre-ordering our vinyl will get the instant digital version ... which will include some additional surprises ....
