MONDAY Q&A 9/28/20
Q: With the first Beauty In Chaos album released two years ago, I wanted to ask how you feel about it now? It still spends a lot of time in my CD player!
A: Well I am happy to hear you still listen to it! I think longevity is certainly a good gauge of an album or any piece of art, I have recently listened to it from top to bottom and I personally still enjoy the ‘journey’ it takes. Besides the countless hours put into the making of this album, a lot of thought was put into the running order of it … to make it a cohesive sonic journey. Our blueprint of the different singers I think helps this record sort of defy a specific category which I hope adds to its longevity, I do look back on the making of this album fondly. It was something I set out to prove to myself that I could do … and for something that for a fleeting moment was just going to be a ‘solo album’ quickly morphed into something way more special. I sincerely can’t thank Michael Rozon and the may great artists that helped make this a reality. BIC has certainly introduced me to some truly great people that have become our extended BIC Family and I hope this and our other records have introduced these artists to a wider and different fan base that may have not have heard of them prior. I do know that fans of The Mission, The Cure, GLJ and The Awakening have embraced BIC and for that I am very grateful. This revolving evolving entity we call BEAUTY IN CHAOS is far from over!
