BIC BLOG 2/29/20
As February 2020 gives way to March, I wrestle mentally and a bit spiritually with the fact that Tish and I will no longer have a teenager as our baby girl turns 20 next week! F ‘in crazy! Speaking of her, the documentary (or is that uber-gothumentary?) that she was a director on “behind the beauty remixing the chaos” is now on APPLE-TV! This is possible by the hard work and dedication of Ryan Martin and his Jammerzine/JammerDirect crew. I simple can’t thank him enough for this and all he does to support Independent Music. Bravo my friend!
Our video for ‘A Kind Cruelty’ continues to rack up views and some nice press thanks to our mega-PR lady Shauna from Shameless Promotion PR. Many thanks to her and all of the fine folks that spend their time writing about our creations!
Dave Franklin from Dancing About Archetecture wins the award for the most colorful quote!
Beauty in Chaos trademark sound, a sound which seems to be part low-slung rock and roll, part contemporary goth or put another way, one foot on the monitor, one foot in the grave!
Judy Lyon and her fantastic Torched Magazine, who was one if not the first to bring BIC to the public eye did a cool Q&A with both Curse and . Check it out HERE!
The lovely Ms, Jen Dan from The Big Takeover also wrote a beautiful piece on the video. She too has been a supporter of BIC from its genesis!
With the sheer amount of music and videos released weekly, I take none of this for granted and sincerely appreciate the belief and support!!!
‘The Long Goodbye’ (the OG version as the kids say) which features Wayne Hussey and Evi Vine, will appear on ‘La Dance Macabre 7”, from At Sea Compilations.
With Michael Rozon still in the studio with Ministry during the week, I spend some time in my SAINT2 Studio laying out what I plan to be the mostly-instrumental title track ‘the storm before the calm’. Due to vinyl time constraints, this will appear only on the CD and Digital versions of our 5/22 release. Rozon and I are back in the studio tomorrow .. fixing and mixing!
For those in Europe, make sure to catch The Mission who start their tour today! Love to see a few pics of our BIC CDs that Mr. Hussey graciously signed and is making available at the shows. Tour dates HERE.
For those here in the States, please check out Curse Mackey as he comes to a city near you as he supports Clan of Xymox! Dates Here!
