BIC HALLOWEEN BLOG 10/31/20

Since our delightful accidental World Goth Day release of ‘The Storm Before The Calm’, we have been talking about our second-coming remix album - well, Halloween is here and so is the release of ‘Out Of Chaos Comes… !!!

If you have not yet pulled the trigger on getting your own copy, today is the perfect day! There are still copies of the Limited Edition colored vinyl (which include a signed and numbered cover art poster). There are also a handful of the cool 2-CD set which includes the bonus ‘Chaos Continues…’. Whatever you choose, you will get an immediate download code for the full 27-Song Digital Version.

27 tracks you say? Yes, I know we have been saying 26, but we got an absolutely wonderful remix from Julian Shah-Tayler of ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ in the 11th hour and just had to add it to the digital version.

There are several oddities and ‘planned inconsistencies’ amongst the formats… so for those who like that stuff here you go -

a) John Fryer’s Domi8mix of ‘Stranger’ on the vinyl is different from the ‘Extended Version’ on the CD and Digi, which feature more guitars and is, you guessed it.. extended.

b) Roger O’Donnell’s ‘Stranger’ remix on the digital is his ‘extended’ version, complete with his almost Reeves-like Moog solo. To be fair, his ‘edited’ version that appears on the CD is over 6-minutes, but he is in The Cure so I guess 6 minutes is considered edited :)

c) For those of you who get the 2-CD set with the bonus ‘Chaos Continues…’ CD - the track listing says 12, but you will see 14 when you put it in your CD player…. hmmm, there may be a pair of ‘easter eggs’ :)

4) As mentioned above, there is the very cool The Delicate Balance Of All Things’ ft. Wayne Hussey (Off Balance Mix) by Julian Shah-Tayler this is ONLY on the digital version.

I wanted to thank Ryan Martin at Jammerzine, Tina Benitez-Eves from American Songwriter and Orest Dorosh of Amplify Music Magazine for their help in launching this record! And of course to Shauna at Shameless Promotion PR .

I also would like to thank not only the artists that made these songs possible (Wayne, Ashton, Curse, Seibold, Rafe, Johnny, Dirk and Kat), but this amazing cast who gave their time and talents on these remixes… Tim Palmer, MGT, Kitty Lectro, Roger O’Donnell, Statik, John Fryer, Paul Wiley, Tyler Bates, Bentley Jones, Nick Perez, Kevin Kipnis, DJ Mac Stewart, Julian Shah-Tayler, Roman Marisak, Luxary Noize, and the Phoenix Supernova.

Also to these amazing talents that added their voices and instruments to breathe different life into these songs … Nick Johnston, Simon Hinkler, Ashly Bad, Kirk Hellie, Andrew Toy, Alka, Gil Sharone, Mike Mallory, Betsy Martin, Charlie Kennedy, Tom Hatziemanouel and Richard Fortus.

A very special thanks to the lovely Ms. Cinthya Hussey, for not only her gorgeous version of ‘The Delicate Balance Of All Things’, but for her beautiful art on the Album cover(s).

Finally … to Michael Rozon and Tim Perry. Without them, none of this would be possible, and to my beautiful family; for their love and support AND for putting up with my craziness during this process!

I know I speak for all involved in creating “Out Of Chaos' Comes…’,, we all hope you enjoy this deep and diverse re-envisioning of these songs. It was a joy to make and we all love and appreciate our growing BIC Family.
