Well as many of you know, the end of 2019 was a bit ‘rough’ with our complete studio and ProTools system crashing. This forced me to make the hard but necessary decision of delaying the release of our next album. As heartbreaking as that was, it was for the best … as we had lost so much valuable time and I just couldn’t bring myself to rush the record and having it be any less than it could be.
Well fast forward to the past Thursday and Friday … my dear friends Kevin Kipnis (you may recognize his name from several remixes on ‘beauty re-envisioned’ and bass on the beautiful ‘Heliotrope’) and Michael Rozon busted their collective arses to get the new computer and software up and running. Seriously no small task. They did this all without me there … allowing me to spend the last two days with my youngest daughter before she flew back to college. That gesture will never be lost on me.
As of last night, everything was running. Faster and better than ever. A big thanks also to Steven from Westlake Pro Audio for stretching the money from a sale of my kidney to get all of the gear we needed :). SAINTinLA is back! Michael and I will be back in the studio a bit later today … resuming work on the record! God is good!!! I’m not going to decide a release date just yet. I guess I’m still a bit gun-shy, but it will certainly not be the long delay I originally feared.
We now plan to shoot and release a second video/single in mid- February … putting the idea and details together now with our director Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films.
