BIC BLOG 9/7/19
this blog post will be short and bitter sweet,,,
After an amazing CURE performance and a photo shoot/hang with Robert and Simon, Tish and I set off early Sunday AM to Chicago to move both of our daughters into their new colleges. Yeah … Dad is sad.
The little late night down time I’ve had I have made some edit notes for our ‘the long goodbye’ (au revoir) video, which I will begin to work with our friends at Industrialism Films on the edit early next week. Our goal is still to have this one released before the end of this month. I’ve also, at least mentally, made some notes for our next-next video of a new song call ‘the delicate balance of all things’. This song will most be the debut single and video from our next EP. We managed to get some footage of Wayne Hussey singing this track during his recent visit and are going to build a sort of ‘in studio’ video around that.
Speaking of Mr. Hussey, I got to see a video of him performing ‘the long goodbye’ on piano on his current European solo tour. I also got to see Ashton Nyte strumming a passionate rendition of ‘storm’ ! Really honored and touched to hear both of these. I would love it if any of our friends in Europe to send me any others if they have. Their tour still has a lot more dates as my dear friends just chug on thru Europe! Remaining dates HERE! Rumors have it that Mr. Nyte has a few copies of both Beauty In Chaos CDs with him that I am sure both he and Wayne would be happy to sign for you :)
Our new ‘20th Century Boy’ video seems to be getting received well, even by the hard core T. Rex purists! If you haven’t seen it, please check it out HERE!
Finally, BIC cohort Robin Zander of Cheap Trick invited Tish and I out tonight with our daughters to see them perform in their home town. Yeah, another one of those surreal BIC moments! Nicole and Sophia are excited to hear ‘Surrender’ too :)
