BIC BLOG 2/9/19
After a short getaway last weekend, we came back and hit the ground running!
Several on-air radio interviews with some really great people (we will post when the shows are archived) and a cool song-by-song feature with NOIZE ARTISTS, who allowed me to talk a bit about each song on ‘finding beauty in chaos’. Please give it a listen HERE.
Michael Rozon and I also spent time in the studio, finalizing the mix of ‘The Long Goodbye’ (Au Revoir)’, a stunning piano version with a chilling vocal performance by Wayne Hussey. We also got in a great remix/reinterpretation of ‘Drifting Away’ by Purr Machine’s Kevin Kipnis. This leaves us two remaining tracks to complete for ‘beauty re-envisioned’.. which like most things in BIC world has bloomed into something larger than originally envisioned ! Cover art and running order all in process and we do hope to have this released in April!
On the topic of ‘beauty re-envisioned’, we have begun filming with Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films) again for a lead-off single! Pretty f’in cool to have one of rock n’ rolls true guitar heroes, ZAKK WYLDE take the time out of his busy schedule to come in and shoot his blistering guitar solo. Blessed beyond to call this man a friend. Planning to shoot with dUg Pinnick later this month as Vicente and I finalize the video concept for Statik’s ‘Un-Natural Disaster’ remix. More behind the scene’s to come!
I have been told by my friend’s at 33.3 Music Collective, that we have less than 100 copies if of the vinyl version of ‘FBIC’ remaining, so if you haven't got a copy, you can get it HERE. This is truly how in envisioned this record to look and sound! Mastered for vinyl by David Cheppa on 180g colored-double vinyl, gatefold design, lyrics liner notes and more!
Speaking of vinyl, my dear friend and BIC partner in chaos, Ms. Evi Vine’s new release ‘Black / Light / White / Dark’ is available on beautiful white vinyl! Order your copy HERE and tell Evi that MC said she would sign it for you!!!
