words can’t describe how disappointing it is for me to say that I don’t think we will be a able to meet our published release date of our ‘the storm before the calm’ record. For the past few days we have been dealing with a catastrophic ProTools system issue in our SAINTinLA Studio. We’ve had multiple experts look at it in person and on-line. Still unclear if it is a hardware or software issue. We hope to try one other thing tomorrow to attempt to get this system back running to allow us to do the remaining mixes. Even without this disaster, we are up against the wall to get this mixed, mastered and them off to press. Maybe I’m showing my age, but I really miss analog recording. I know we would have never been able to make these records without Protools, and the ability for artists to work at their own studios around the world … but FUCK I HATE THIS RIGHT NOW.

Michael and I are not throwing in the towel just yet, and thankfully we have NOT lost any of our audio. but I think the days lost fighting this system to hold it together might be too insurmountable to overcome. I don’t know. This is so disheartening but at the end of the day the most important thing is to make a great record. Maybe if I would have stayed with the 4-song EP idea, we may have finished it, but Michael and I really liked the two slightly different songs … ‘Stranger’ and ‘Temple of Love’ and we both feel their addition make for a complete, even if slightly more diverse album.

If the 2/21/20 deadline can’t be met, we will sincerely try to get a second single/video finished and released in February.

Sincerely sorry to type these words … but no one is more disappointed than I. I appreciate your understanding and patience.
