MONDAY Q&A 10/7/19
Q: Now with Beauty In Chaos being a year old, I was wondering what you would like to see next for the project ?
A: It's hard to believe that our debut 'finding beauty in chaos' was released a year ago ... Sept. 27th, 2018 to be exact. That said, Michael Rozon and I did start the record at least a year prior and vested countless hours to make this happen. I think we've accomplished a lot since BIC was released for public consumption. Fourteen songs, 2 full length records, 7 videos and a documentary. Some bands don't do that in 5 years! I am really proud of the music we've created and the friendships this has brought about. It is been a absolute blessing to also involve my wife and our daughters in this journey. As far as what next? As I have said, I certainly want to continue with BIC and seeing it evolve. I have said that I would like to see it performed live, but that has a lot of moving parts as to how and where. Not ruling it out, but it would require a lot of pre-production and most importantly .. a lot pf people's time, which brings a lot pf schedules, etc in the mix. The thing I can control and plan is new BIC material. Michael and I are hard at work at what will be a new 'EP'. Both of our releases have been massive undertakings and 'big listens'. In today's world, I think a shorter listen is more palatable ... but I won't sign on to today's 'singles only digital' orientated world. In the end, I started BIC to please myself and to prove to myself I could do this. Not really into following today's rules. I would certainly like BIC to sell more records and also to get more tv/film placements.... mainly for the great people at 33.3 Music Collective and all of the artists that have given selflessly their time and talents. If I thought about the time and money to create this endeavor, I would have never done it! I guess that defines a true labor of love? I do know I really love what I am hearing back in the speakers that will be the next release... and I'm already thinking beyond, and would love if our new found BIC family follows us for this ride.
