PETE PARADA 'Springs Off' about BIC !

"Mike took me on my very first tour over twenty years ago!  I saw the whole country for the first time while making music with him every night.  That experience was the launching pad for my entire career. MC is a tremendously talented guitarist and songwriter.  I've always enjoyed the kaleidoscope of sounds that he pulls from his guitar.  When he called me about doing a song for his album, I jumped at the chance.  Then he told me dUg Pinnick would be on it and I just about lost my mind!  This song has such a heavy, intense groove.  It was really fun to play around with a lot of different ideas on the drums.  In the end, the most direct approach worked best.  Slamming along to the brooding guitars and dUg's bass was a blast, especially during Mike's blistering guitar solo!  Having    Ice T perform on the breakdown is the icing on the cake.  I'm very proud to be part of Beauty In Chaos was so many great musicians from different backgrounds!  Big thanks to MC for inviting me along on his sonic endeavor!

I first met Pete while rehearsing at Bill's Place in the San Fernando Valley,   When I was asked by Michael Aston to join Gene Loves Jezebel for a 'reunion tour' with his brother Jay.  I asked Pete if he wanted to audition for the drums.  After one song, Pete was in!  He went on to record the 'Love Lies Bleeding' record with us.  Pete's slammin' style and rock steady grove has established him as one of the world's best punk rock drummers; recording and touring with FACE TO FACE, SAVES THE DAY, and THE OFFSPRING, which he has been a member since 2007.  I am beyond blessed to call Pete a friend and to have him on ‘Un-Natural Disaster’ which he graciously tracked the drums at his Nashville studio.
