MONDAY Q&A

Q:  You have cited several female singers on your upcoming record.  What other female singers are you a fan of and do which you plan to work with in the future ?

A:  Well we certainly have three very talented ladies as part of the first BIC record.  Evi, Betsy and Tish all add amazing songs to FBIC, and my wife also plays bass guitar on two great songs, ‘The Long Goodbye’ and ‘I Will Follow You”.  I guess I do love female voices, as I have loved Shirley Manson since hearing first Garbage record. Ruby’s ‘Salt Peter’ has found its way back to my CD player, as I simply love the way Leslie Rankins uses her voice.  Tish and I listed to Lush a lot when we first met and I love the way Miki Berenyi and Emma Anderson voices blended.  Elizabeth Fraser  (Cocteau Twins), Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance), Rachel Goswell (Slowdive), and All About Eve’s Julianne Regan are certainly amongst my fave voices.  Please know I am not saying any of these amazing ladies will be involved with BEAUTY IN CHAOS … but if they are interested ??? !!! CALL 0r WRITE 😊. It’s really about their voice, lyrics and attitude for me. 

I’ve also just been turned on to the recent Chelsea Wolfe album which I am starting to really like.  Maria Banks from In This Moment also has an amazing voice, as she does the ‘whisper to a scream’ thing so f*cking great!   

I am 100% certain the current BIC ladies and hopefully others will be adding beauty AND chaos to our evolution.
